Fastest Growing Industries for Self-Employed Professionals in 2017

Dreaming of starting your own business, but not sure which industry to break into? Fear not — FreshBooks has compiled a list of the fastest growing professions for small business owners.

Software as a service tops the list, which doesn’t surprise Jon McCollum, founder of 3-person healthcare SaaS company Verify Comply and FreshBooks customer: “There are opportunities for specialized niche SaaS providers that didn’t exist 10 years ago, and it’s forcing established players to evaluate their offerings & pricing models to stay competitive.
